About Us
Little Way in Action is guided by a Board of Directors that provides oversight, direction, and stewardship of our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, while our mission is driven forward through the leadership of our Youth Ambassadors.
Formerly known as Little Ladies of Charity, the mission began during the pandemic as a response to a growing awareness of both the needs within the community and the many blessings we often take for granted. Rooted in the spirituality of Thérèse of Lisieux, the organization embraces the idea that small acts of love and service can have a profound impact.
Inspired by this call to live out faith through simple, meaningful actions, early efforts focused on serving those in need in tangible ways. One of the first initiatives included assembling Easter donations for families supported by Catholic Charities—stuffing hundreds of Easter eggs and preparing dozens of baskets for distribution.
These early acts of service revealed a powerful truth: the joy found in giving far surpasses any material gift. From that foundation, Little Way in Action was formed and continues to grow through youth-led initiatives, fostering service, compassion, and leadership through small acts done with great love.
Youth Ambassador Program
Our Youth Ambassador Program empowers students to lead with purpose and compassion. Through peer engagement and community outreach, Youth Ambassadors identify needs, develop service ideas, create the tools and materials needed to support those efforts, and pilot projects within their schools and communities.
Youth Ambassadors serve as the creative and hands-on leaders of new initiatives, helping test what works and gathering lessons that can strengthen each project. Little Way In Action’s administrators and Board of Directors then help refine, support, and scale successful efforts so they can be replicated more broadly and create sustainable community impact.
By leading through service, Youth Ambassadors demonstrate how small actions can grow into meaningful change while developing leadership, empathy, initiative, and social responsibility. The program helps cultivate the next generation of servant leaders and equips young people to make a lasting difference in their schools, communities, and beyond.

Our programs, volunteer opportunities, and Youth Ambassador Program are open to individuals of all races, ethnicities, national origins, religions, backgrounds, abilities, and identities.
While our mission is inspired by values of faith, compassion, and service, we welcome and serve people of all faiths and those of no religious affiliation. We do not discriminate in selecting Youth Ambassadors, volunteers, program participants, community partners, or those we serve.
